Business Web Hosting
When choosing a business web host there are a few more factors to consider than when just buying a family or personal web space, if your site is to do anything other than purely market your business or if you are setting up an E-Business your hosting plan will need to have some specific features.

Statistics, tell you who is visiting your site, when they are doing it and which pages they are looking at, it will also tell you which page they land on first, all of which help you to market you site more efficiently most even record which browser visitors to your site are using which can be invaluable information for targeting software for example.

Email, is a basic requirement of every web hosting package, but a business site will need more accounts and the ability to manage mailing lists, for communicating with your subscribers an incredibly valuable marketing tool. Another Email utility is that of an autoresponder, which sends out adknowledgments to Email enquireys and also, cleverly saves the contact information automatically to your contact database.

SSL, or Secure Socket Layer security is a must have for anyone intending to take payments over the internet, it is a way of encrypting transfers that makes paying on line safer and more attractive for your customers.

SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation is the process of getting your website indexed and then ranked by the top search engines, such as Google, Yahoo! and MSN, for the uninitiated this can be a very daunting and time consuming process and many good web hosts provide a Free rudimentary SEO service, in any event nearly all will submit your site to all of the top search engines for indexing. An additional incentive being offered although not really SEO ,is the inclusion of Free Google Adwords or similar coupons which help to get you started with one of the many pay per click ad campaign providers.

As you are no doubt aware it can take months of careful marketing for your website to start to rank in the search engines, this is all time when your site it not making you any money, so you may be loath to shell out for a top of the range business plan for this period. Fear not help is at hand in the form of upgradeable packages or packages that enable you to bolt on extras, these plans enable your site to grow as required, and allow you to had more space, ecommerce options and addition domains as necessary.

In summary choose well, and don’t be afraid to pay for what you get, check out our great business web hosting solutions

Hello,

You could use an FTP software. The tutorial below should help you with using Filezilla FTP program.

Link to download: http://filezilla-project.org/ and click on download Filezilla client.

Filezilla Setup article: http://www.w3hub.org/doc/filezilla/

After you login to the FTP client filezilla using
1. Your IP address (X.X.X.X)
2. Your FTP login
3. Your FTP password

You should be able to see the pages on your site. You can then drag and drop files to your server to upload or download them.

Good Luck!

The answer above is very good. However, it is easier for a startup to LEASE a Dedicated Server from a data center. There are hundreds to choose from, you then run the server without all the line expenses, back up power, redundant lines etc.
Check with some of the following
http://rackspace.net
http://jtlnet.com
http://www.fastservers.net/

or do a search for "dedicated servers" the cost to lease is very affordable and saves you lots of startup dollars. As you business grows, then start your own data center!

OK. Lets see if I can help you out a little bit. I have 3 up and running websites right now, and will be starting a fourth for a friend in a week or so. Web tech support. Yes, and they are very good with helping you out at no charge. You first click into your yahoo small business account, and then in the upper left corner, you will see "help" when you click on that you will get a drop down box, and one of the options will be live help, which when you click on it, you can either call them with the number provided or they will call you. Emails work well also.

When you need more pages, you will notice that you get two options, one for new page with template and one with new page without templete. I never use their templates as I just want my site to be very user friendly and simple They all work well for me and although it takes some doing, you will none the less enjoy it. When you are creating a new page, the first thing you want to do with it is "save page as" which will address it in your index, then create a title for the page using insert and then text. Right below that you will find insert image, which I usually have the pics' stored in a folder on my desktop. Remember to save each page as you go, and in fact you should do this several times per page and always at the end. Then, when all is well, click on "publish" , then you will need to furnish your password to your small business email and then click next and then it will take a minute or so to verify your password, and publish your content. Good luck

that is depend on your current plan. if you plan allow more than 1 domain, you will be able to do so. if not, you will have to either upgrade your plan or sign up a new plan.

the best way is to drop the customer support an email, and they will be able to get back to you.

Hi,

When looking into webhosting services for your website the first thing to do is to assess your own personal needs as they pertain to those hosting services you'll want to consider. Small homepages will have vastly different web hosting criteria from the website of a large company for instance. It is also important to take into consideration anything you are planning on hosting in the near future as well and to take any potential growth into account so that you are not caught off guard by unexpected costs.

The next step in finding web hosting services for your needs is to compare the rates of different hosting companies. While many companies will offer temptingly low rates it's crucial to know how much the prices will grow if your services and customer base expand.

Good technical support from your web hosting company is also critical to success. The ability to solve any problems quickly with the least disruption possible is key to the growth of your website. The best technical support you can hope for from a web hosting company is an in house 24 hours a day, seven days a week, phone & email, based in your home country service. It's also worth finding out if the technical support is free or comes with a charge. Also, make sure the hosting company clearly defines "consulting" versus "technical support" as technical support will most likely be free while consulting may have a price tag.

You also need to know how fast your internet hosting company can provide access to anyone visiting your website. This is easily researchable, with the most obvious way being to visit other websites hosted by your potential web host, perhaps varying the time of day you visit the website and focussing on the times when you think your target audience will visit your website. The best webhosting services will offer high levels of uptime which should be a guarantee to motivate the company to keep servers up all the time, while providing impetus to act quickly if anything goes wrong.

I believe you can make a good choice after reading the reviews about web hosting at http://www.bestwebhostingchoice.com/

Hey Kenneth,
What you would probably be looking for is a company that does reseller hosting. There are many of them out there, but I personally would recommend Hostgators'. Hostgator has plans starting at $24.95 a month, which is really cheap if you plan on selling this hosting. With that said though, if that isn't enough for you they have other plans available as well. When you become a reseller they provide you with a hosting reseller panel, a hosting managing system, and the ability to control user information such as passwords and emails. On their website they also have a control panel demo, which gives you a feel for what it will be like running your reseller business. I definitely recommend that you check it out.. I've posted the link to their site below:
